Tesla is to build a state-of-the-art crash test facility in Austin further to improve the overall safety of its electric vehicles. Tesla has come out on top in several crash tests, earning Top Safety Picks + and five stars in EuroNCAP. It is clear that safety comes first at Tesla. Many OEMs use industry-standard crash testing. But the crash test results often only show a limited view, as every crash can differ depending on the numerous external influences. Tesla collects data from the millions of vehicles in their fleet and replicates real-world crash scenarios, thus allowing Tesla engineers to develop some of the safest vehicles on the road.

The test lab in California is the home of Tesla's crash and safety, however, the team is now actively seeking new engineers to work from California from training to transfer them to a brand new Austin Facility.

The new TESLA testing jobs are available to see on the Tesla recruitment page.
